This is a competition meant for those people who have the right combination of managerial competency and disaster management skills. Thorough knowledge of IR along with strong conceptual clarity and correct applications will help you navigate the seas of this subject.
Welcome to the world of IR with Strike or Yield. After all, Industrial Relations are the need of the hour with India aiming to become a manufacturing hub.
Strike or Yield 2015 will be conducted in 3 rounds:
ROUND 1: ONLINE QUIZ
·In this round, teams (of maximum 3 members) need to attend a time bound online quiz based on Industrial Relations knowledge and concepts with a dosage of current affairs
·Each team shall have 30 minutes to solve and submit their solutions
ROUND 2: ON-CAMPUS SIMULATION GAME
This will be an On-Campus Round.
An auction based labour-management simulation game, which is both engaging and pushes the cognitive limits of participants when it comes to dealing with changing working climate.
The participants are a part of a union of an organization and they need to put their best foot forward by choosing the best negotiator from the available candidates that they have. The available pool of candidates is determined after an auction, which tests their decision-making skills and their ability to foresee tricky situations. The environment in which the collective bargaining is to takes place keeps changing and teams need to adapt to the situation.
Rules will be divulged at the time of the competition.

Each team must have 3 participants
·Multiple teams from the same college are allowed
·All the participants must belong to the same institute
·The decisions of the organizers of the contest will be final & binding on all the participant
·A student cannot be part of more than one team
·The participants are required to go through the following Terms & Conditions before registering for the event:
1.All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity & final judgements will be with the Ensemble Core Team, XLRI Jamshedpur
2.The format & structure of events is subject to change before the actual beginning of the event
