Symbiosis Institute of International Business | JK Helene Curtis |
Institute of International Business (SIIB) presents Arthashastra - A case
study competition under its flagship event Leadership
Series 2015 in association with J.K. Helene Curtis Limited - a part of the
Raymond Group India. The company holds a diverse portfolio of brands from the
FMCG sector and has the following brands - Park
Avenue, Premium, Monarch and Tru Tone to its name. Teams will prove
their genius though a triad of rounds, perked with added constraints at each
level putting their strategic acumen to best use.
Planning to Strategic Agility –
honchos of companies, in their heydays formulated corporate strategies that resonated
over time and space. Products and markets moved through their life cycles in a
sequential, orderly manner. Maybe a few generations ago, but certainly not any
more. These days one cannot predict what
the market will look like in a year or even six months, engaging in a lengthy
planning process only wastes time and resources. Worse, it gives competitors
who have already embraced strategic thinking a distinct advantage. As the famous
marketing jargon goes - ‘You have to be where the action is!’
study of management, self-consciousness and agility that leads to superior
quality is what Arthashastra teaches us. A fact that is relevant even in
the sharpest of managers from B-schools pan India to participate. So battle it
out, prove your mettle and rest your case!
