Gordian Knot 2014, the flagship Sales & Marketing Event for Ahvan, derives its name from the legend associated with the unconquerable Macedonian,“Alexander the Great.” It symbolizes solving a seemingly impossible knot by “thinking out of the box”. Gordian Knot will pitch for the best from the Indian post-graduate student fraternity in a fierce battle to find a 3-member team which can make tough but rational decisions in the most difficult of situations to emerge as champions.
It is the only marketing event which comprehensively tests the participants in various areas of marketing with seemingly impossible tasks with sparse resources and tight deadlines and to top it all, selling wares in the streets of Indore. It challenges the participants through an online puzzle round, an online social media platform round and 6-8 campus rounds testing different concepts of marketing be it advertisement temperament, brand management, merchandising, sales and a lot more. The team of three, which collectively has the capability to overcome all the meticulously crafted tasks with perfect execution, is the one that would emerge as the winner.
